Beddgellert Forest Camp Site

Saturday morning we chatted to curious neighbours while we loaded up our new van. So many lockers! So many bags of melamine crockery and tea towels from ikea and wilkos! Happily she justabout fits on the driveway; she won't live there, but it makes loading up easy.

Out sat nav revealed an unfortunate predilection for back roads, steep hills and sharp turns. maybe we'll have to save for the posh truck sat nav. However after many hours we arrived! Yay!

Cooking and sleeping went well. We went through a ist of newbie mistakes; running out of water, overflowing the waste tanks, etc. Nothing too terrible.

The Inaugural Voyage

We spent Friday travelling all day; taxi, fast train, train that stopped at every leaf, tram, taxi. At last we arrived to pick up Hettie, our new autoroller 600. We nodded politely as they told us that the undersprocket ratchet was linked in parallel with the autofiring mainstem, and such like. And then we were off, kangerooing and lurching and bouncing off kerbs - and sitting in endless traffic - until we finally got home and collapsed in a tired, happy heap.
